Cute and Sweet Card with Kim

Using the 'Take Note' Collection I've decided to make a super simple note card.  With a few die cuts and a couple of tags, it makes it an easy thing to pull together quickly.

After cutting my 5x7 folded card from the patterned 12x 12 paper,  I used one of the cut files to make an extra large deer out of adhesive foil. and made it so he wrapped around to the other side of the card.  

I also had some scraps left over from the cutting to make circles to represent the fawn's spots and put them on top of the foil.  It adds just a little bit of dimension and subtle interest to that cute little guy.

I made a tag and ripped the bottom and used a brad to attach another included kit tag on top.  In between I wrapped the flower die cut around to the front and placed a deer sticker on top as well.

And we haven't even talked about the envelope yet.  It's always nice to have one that matches your fun creation.  It's made, again, out of one of the 12x12 pattern paper.  For a 5x7 card, I cut a 10-inch square and score at 3.25 and 4.25 inches, alternately around the paper and fold up the three sides.

This card is being sent to one of my friends that just had her first Grandbaby Girl!

Take Note Pocket Letter with Odessa

Hi! Odessa here with a pocket letter using the Take Note kit. Pocket Letters are super fun to make. You just get to play with all the pretty things and put them together!

I started with the You and Me planner divider. I cut it down to 4 x 6 so it was a good pocket size and then further down into two 3 x 4 cards to fit into the pockets. From there I worked around it. I decided to do two more 4x6 areas at the top and bottom with patterned paper. The great things about Pocket Letters are that you can just pick your favourite things and really just have a lot of fun with it.

From there I started pulling out some of my favourite bits from the kit. Stickers and die cuts and puffy words and more! I like to work on each pocket as its own entity but keeping a general overall look in mind. I used word stickers, die cuts and some cut outs from the patterned paper to add some messages into the page. Then I got busy with the pretty stuff!

I added in lots of cute little details on this - the kit made this so easy! Lots of cute hearts and stars and more. If you haven’t made a pocket letter you really should - they are a fun way to just play around and let yourself play with layout and design.

Hey guys! It's Teresa today, with my notebook creation! It's kinda all over the place, maybe even a little messy, but the Take Note kit makes it perfect!

So the paper from Take Note kit is so pretty! I almost didn't wanna cut it up and use it! But I did.

My daughters! The flower cutouts that come in the kit went so well with their picture.

The deer paper is favorite! You can see I used a little around the picture.

This is my husband and I when we were 19! So young, he is my "Happily ever after" this whole kit reminded me of being in love!

"Take Note" in Tiffany's Mint Kikki K Planner

Hi everyone! Tiffany here with a planner setup in my A5 mint Kikki K planner using the "Take Note" kits. I absolutely love the colors of this kit and when looking through my planner, I decided to switch the binder to this lovely Kikki K because it matched so perfectly!

So the very first thing I did was pull out all the light pastel bits from the kits that I really liked. It wasn't very hard as most of the kit are these beautiful light shades of pink and mint. But I knew that I wanted my focus to be on the Marie-inspired dashboard included in the planner kit. I absolutely love Andrea's illustration. It's definitely so cute and sweet just like the dashboard says! So I pulled out bits from the ephemera pack that matched. I even cut a few things out of the cut apart sheet to include as well. Then I chose my papers.

So for the main dashboard, I used two dashboards. I used the Marie one from the personal planner set and then the Giselle paper dashboard from the A5 set. I really love that Giselle paper but didn't want to cut into my 12x12 sheet for this project, so I just used the A5 dashboard that had the same print on it. All I did was cover up the watercolor flower with a white paper doily, then layered the Marie dashboard on top. I added a bit of this scalloped lace trim I had in my stash to the scallop part of the dashboard on top, just to add a bit more texture to balance out the paper doily.

For my planner pockets, I decorated them with a few bits from the ephemera pack that complimented my dashboard. I used the Marie tag in mint layered over the mint Bambi card from the cut apart sheet in the main pocket. I embellished that little cluster with some bow paperclips from my stash and that heart die cut that reads "This way to happily ever after" because it's just so freaking cute! I tried my best to balance out the mints and pinks against the darker mint color of my planner.

In the bottom pocket, I added the pink camera that I fussy cut from the cut apart sheet and tucked the little white letter and one of the pink ticket stub die cuts behind it, along with a few ribbon paperclips. In my top pocket, I have two more paperclips and the card from the cut apart sheet that says "Are you dreaming of a..." which I have just sticking out at the top. I kept my pockets pretty simple, but still really cute.

I left the back of the dashboard alone. I loved the design too much to alter it in any way. But instead of going straight into my inserts, I decided to make a pocket from one of the 12x12 sheets of paper. I chose this paper with the white bows on pink and the lovely mint green dot pattern on the back. A 12x12 sheet of paper makes the most perfect A5 planner pocket with absolutely no cutting involved. All I did was measured it against one of the A5 dashboard and folded over the bottom to create my pocket flap. Then I folded the entire thing in half, stitched the opened side and punched it into my planner.

I ended up embellishing both pockets with a white paper doily. Again, I just love the added texture doilies give to my planner. On the front pocket, I used the "Take Note" die cuts, a pink epoxy sticker and this random stray gold foiled bit from my ephemera pack to decorated the pocket. In this particular pocket, I have the stickers from the kit along with this card from one of the cut apart sheets that says "This way to happily ever after" because I absolutely love it!

On the back pocket, I decorated the bottom with two of the branding strips layered on top. I had actually gotten a mark on my paper as I was creating the pocket that I wanted to cover up, so I just made the two strips into banners on the end; the perfect cover-up! I left the pocket really simple and in it, I have more stickers from my stash, along with this card from the May Girly & Strong kit that reads "silly," because the colors just matched perfectly!

Opposite my pocket, I punched in the camera dashboard because it complimented the colors of the pocket so well. I also really love this camera illustration. To embellish it, I made a banner paperclip from a black and white bow paper from the Girly & Strong kit. I absolutely love how Andrea's kits compliment each other. It makes it so easy to mix n match bits from each kit in your projects! I embellished the center of the bow with a pink enamel dot from my stash and have the paperclip clipped so that when I turn the page, it turns to my current spread.

For my September monthly spread, I struggled a bit with decorating it with bits from the kit. I'm using these Inkwell Press planner inserts that have a certain color for each month, and this month it's this golden yellow color, which is nowhere in this month's kit. So I pulled out a few branding strips. I swear by the branding strips! They are always so useful, so I never throw them out. Here, I used the sketched black and white hearts from the kit and this yellow cross pattern strip from the Girly & Strong kit because I needed that yellow to repeat somewhere and it matched so perfectly. I embellished the top and bottom of my inserts with the strips, again cutting them into banners.

I then took a sheet from an Alice in Wonderland book and added a few ripped pages to the corners of my spread. It added another texture to my spread as well as added more warmth to my page. On the bottom left cluster, I layered a few heart die cuts with a few of the stickers from the kit, just to give the corner some more interest. The little gold glitter enamel hearts are from a Crate Paper line I had in my stash. I thought they matched perfectly. On the top right, I made another one of those banner paperclips using the yellow cross paper from Girly & Strong and embellished it with more heart die cuts from the Take Note kit as well as one of the word stickers that says "so fun."

I decided to include the little brown Bambi deer to the bottom right corner of my monthly spread because it was just too cute and it really complimented the warm tones in this spread. I embellished it with some more hearts. On the top left, I repeated the ripped book page and layered a Take Note pencil sticker over it with a few enamel dots to match. I kept my monthly quite simple so that I have enough room to write down all of my plans. The polka dot washi tape in the middle is marking off a trip I was on since August, so that's why it's there. But I really love how it still matches everything else on the spread. That black and white heart pattern on the branding strip at the top really helps balance the colors and patterns out nicely.

Adeline's Kikki-K with Take Note

Hi my fairy friends, it's Adeline! In my last post, I shared with you the first part of my new Kikki-k ice blue set up with "Take note" kit. So today I share with you the rest of this planner decor, enjoy it!!!!!!

I had the idea to introduce the stickers boards in my planner to use them easily!!!!! I pasted them on A5 Take Note inserts and customized them with ephemera and puffy stickers word.

Then I create a note insert in which I will write some important things of the month. Warning Chip watch over Bambi !!!!! LOL

I am so in love with this little cute fawn perfect because fall is coming!!!!!! I added a little brown gem in his eye love it!!

I decided to create a today bookmark to find my to-do list quickly. For it, I cut a Take Note kit paper sheet, perforated and decorated it with some flowers, heart and butterflies ephemera. You can see my butterfly is embossed, I just superimposed two butterflies ephemera, I pasted them and then I added some pearls on it. 

I created this insert for my wishlist planner part!! I love making list and wishlist with all beautiful things I saw on Youtube or Instagram!!!!! Maybe I should think about doing a no spend time!!!!! But this is another story!!!

For this insert, I just added some ephemera (definitely in love with this fawn) of the kit and put some pearls on the tip of the plants. I love to highlight my insert with glitter, pearls or jewel, it's my girly touch.

This insert is for my series tracker, I love watching many series so sometimes I'm lost that's why I need to note where I am on the season....

This one is for my book tracker, I like to write a book summary when I finish it in order to remind me of what I thought of it.

So this take note pen insert was perfect for it, I just a little customized it with tag and some embellishment I have on my desk like this cute little bow.

I decided to use the Marie insert for my community planner part. In this part, I wrote my penpals' address and taste, my Facebook and Instagram trackers.

Like the others inserts, I decorated this one with pearls and gold foil ephemera. I really love this design with Marie and her bows... so cute.

Storing Your Brushes Like a Princess with Carolee

Hi everyone! I absolutely adored the Giselle paper from this month's kit and rather than hoard it, I wanted to use it somewhere more permanent. That's when it hit me, house project! I'd been using this plain jar to hold my makeup brushes and while a bit cottage cute, it could definitely use an upgrade.

Here's how I made it:

1) Measure the area of the jar you want to cover. Make sure to measure how big it is around and add a bit extra to leave yourself a tail!

2) If yours is not perfectly round but faceted like mine, make sure to measure the distance from each facet and use a score board or bone folder to make creases.

3) If you have an edge punch, here's a great place to use it. I had this basic scallop punch in my stash and I think it adds a cute detail to the top!

4) Attach the band to your jar. I used a mixture of red tape and ATG adhesive on mine but you can use any non-wet permanent adhesive you have. 

5) Finally, add some ephemera! I added this big rose to the side and left it as is because of the busy paper, but you could add anything you like, including labels, your initial or anything else you can think of!

Decorative Gift Bags with Henny

Happy Thursday everyone, it's almost and just about nearly the weekend... Henny here today to share with you the decorative gift bags project I've done using my leftover "Take Note" ephemera, reuse my packaging from the "Take Note" products, and some other things that I might want to use. 

I really love the papers from this kit, and I'm glad that I was able to use one of them with the floral printed and cut four of them off to be used as part of the decorating the gift bags.

I have a love for making DIY projects, gather all the accessories and the embellishments out and start create something, I find it so much fun and sort of satisfaction. I love how they are all turned out, each bag with its own style and design. 

Here's a little close-up ... LOVE those colors so much! As you can see I reused the sticker's packaging and cut them into banner shapes. And then just randomly positioning the paper doilies and embellished it with some die cuts and wooden hearts shaped stickers that came from previous  "Sweet!" Kit. 

And here we have some fun and fancy decorative gift bags are done and ready to be filled with some gifts. Perfect for any gift exchange event, birthday gift and so on.

You Are Fabulous with Kim

Hi again!  Kim here today NOT to do a planner spread ...but wait....don't leave!! I hope you'll stay and check out my version of a memory page in my Travelers notebook instead.  It's always nice to keep you on your toes. To start, I wanted two separate shapes on each page: one that went small to larger at the bottom and one that was just the opposite.  They just had to marry and color was the thing to unite them!

As a full background spread I thought this fab water color paper from the Sweet collection would work so very well with the pictures I've chosen. I added some of the patterned paper around this water park picture and added the Monday notation with the ripped edge just to throw some looseness too the layout.  

On the left-hand page, I love this bold fabulous die cut which totally describes our time together that day. I also am trying something different with my pictures at times.  showing just a hint of the person but the surroundings being the focal point.  I have their heads just barely in the frame in this picture.

The right-hand page I featured three pictures.  I'm always amazed how much picture I can cut away that has no bearing on the layout so together. They fit quite nicely in a 4x8 inch space.    This foiled die cut from the collection is the perfect highlight while I've used the L and E from the large alphas to help write their names in the layout.

This Way to Happily Ever After with Ashley

Hi everyone!  It's Ashley, and I'm here today to share my last Guest Designer post with you, for this month!  I had so much fun working with the Take Note collection, and I hope you've been inspired with some ideas for using your kit!

Today, I decided to create a spread in my Traveler's Notebook.  The TN is such a fun way to use your kit!  I love that you can use your TN to document so many different photos.  They are great for things like vacation, birthdays, special occasions or just everyday photos.

I used patterned papers from the Take Note Kit, along with a mix of embellishments, with a photo from one of our favorite restaurants.  Our oldest daughter loved the hush puppies from Bubba Gump's, so I snapped a quick photo of her biting into one!

I kept the left side of my spread clean, and just added patterned paper for some color.  I placed the photo on the right side, and clustered embellishments around the photo.  The puffy stickers, ephemera pieces and stickers are great for your TN, because they are flat embellishments and don't add a lot of bulk to your pages.

Make sure you save any of your scrap papers from the 12x12 sheets in the Kit.  They are perfect for adding layers to your TN.  And since everything in the kit is already coordinated, you can mix and match any of the scrap pieces that you have left over.

"This is Halloween" Full Kit Reveal!!!

Hello everyone! It is Andrea here and today I am so excited to share with you the full kit reveal for our new collection/kit, "This is Halloween"! Now, I love designing all of The Fairytale Club kits...but, this kit was extra-special to me because of it's subject matter...namely, Halloween! I absolutely am in love with Halloween-time and I always have been! It is my favorite holiday and I celebrate it every year to its fullest!...with tons of decorations, shopping and presents and candy, special outings and traditions, themed outfits and pajamas, costumes, baking, crafts, jack-o-lanterns, trick-or-treating, tons of pictures, and so much more! To me, it is the best time of year, just filled with magic, and so I was just thrilled to create a kit that could celebrate this fabulous holiday and help you all to document it, whether that be through planning or scrapbooking or both! This kit is perfect for your Halloween-time papercrafting needs! And will work great to make cute Halloween cards and home decorations as well as working beautifully in your planner and your scrapbook!

Let's talk a bit about the inspiration behind "This is Halloween"! As I said, I love Halloween!!! And I, therefore, had to make this collection reflect all that I love about Halloween! I wanted this collection to be about the magic of Halloween! To me, the magic of Halloween is about all the wonder and happiness and whimsy it brings...the kind that you feel when you are a kid trick-or-treating, and that you still feel as an adult, looking at all the cute decorations and watching fun movies like "Hocus Pocus" and "Nightmare Before Christmas" that really reflect the season and what it's about! And as you may already be able to tell, those two movies are the ones that I chose for my inspiration on this kit.

As you know, I always pick Disney movies to inspire me while I am designing, and I was so inspired by "Hocus Pocus" and "Nightmare," and you can see how that reveals itself in the collection. For example, all those cats and witches and references to magic...well those were definitely inspired by all the witchy goodness in "Hocus Pocus" ! And the "Nightmare Before Christmas" vibe can be found in the kit, too, in details like the spider-webbed hearts, some of the fonts and sayings, and just the combination of Halloween goodness (i.e. pumpkins, bats, spiders, ghosts, witches, etc), which reminds me of the town of Halloween, itself!

Now, let's take a look at all the goodies in "This is Halloween", shall we?! First, let's look at the patterned papers. I love our patterns in this collection! As you can see, the color scheme for "This is Halloween" is so much fun! We have the traditional orange and black, but also these awesome pinks and purples and green too! I am loving the lavender especially! These fun colors add a more modern feel to our "This is Halloween" collection and are very on trend!

And the patterns themselves are a mix of the traditional Halloween and also a newer style that is very popular right now and which I am digging, too! I myself am both a Halloween traditionalist, who loves orange and black and vintage/retro Halloween goodies...and I am also someone who loves the cute, new vibe of Halloween that has been coming out lately which is very sassy and sweet and incorporates things like pastels and hearts!  So, in the collection you will find this combo of old and new...of vintage Halloween and also today's Halloween! I think a good example of this is the "This is Halloween" patterned paper. It is called "This is Halloween", like the collection itself, because I think it represents a combination of Halloween goodness and also magic and whimsy that the collection is all about! It has ghosts and jack-o-lanterns and skeletons and spiderwebs and bats and it is just so cute! Very modern and trendy on the front! And on the back, there is a beautiful, traditional orange and black stripe that is much more retro and classic.

One of my favorite patterns in the collection is another kitty pattern...a kitty witch to be precise! I am in love with our lovely "Hocus Pocus" patterned paper! The pink background with the cute little cat in her cute little witch's hat just makes me smile! And on the back is a simple, but oh so versatile and useful, star pattern.

Another favorite of mine is the "I Put a Spell On You" patterned paper. On one side, you find a cute little vintage image of a kitty sitting on a jack-o-lantern, but it's in a cute and unconventional minty green color instead of the more traditional black or orange. And on the other side of the paper, you find a very cool geometric pattern which is very modern looking, but in the more traditional orange and white color scheme.

I am really excited to get my hands on the "Sanderson" patterned paper! The one side with the southwestern style print, but in the Halloween colors, is so amazing! But I think I may love the other side even more, with just the simple, big, orange polka dots that are themselves made of little, tiny polka-dots! 

The "Boo!" patterned paper is so cool! I love the "boo" script! Way cute! And the doodled stars on the back feel very artsy and fun! 

Another fave of mine is the "Binx" patterned paper! I love those little black cats! How stinking cute are those!!! And the lavender and orange plaid on the back just screams fall!

And the "Jack and Sally" patterned paper is so fabulous! Obviously, the spider-webbed hearts in orange and lavender are way cute, but the dimensional lavender polka dot on the back is just so very pretty, too...both sides are just gorgeous and I am excited to use them!

Then, there are our cut-apart sheets... Well, I am loving the cut-aparts for this collection! Our first cut-apart is called "Nightmare" and it has our 4x6 decorative pocket cards on it! I love the one that says "Halloween" on it, and also the one with the cute, retro, happy jack-o-lantern! And then on the back there is that awesome black and white pattern that works great with anything really!

And the other cut-apart is called "Trick-or-Treat". And it has tons of goodies on it...labels, tags, tickets, 3x4 and 2x2 decorative cards! So great! I am particularly in love with the ombre "Halloween" piece and also all the cute 2x2 cards, especially the super cute white one with the spiderweb eyelashes! And the back of the page is this really cool multi-colored chevron that is super modern and fun!

Now that we have looked at all of the amazing patterned paper in the kit/collection, let's now take a look at our spooktacular embellishments! First, let's check out our ephemera pack! We always do an ephemera pack in our kits and that is because they are super cute but also super versatile and useful and can be used for multiple purposes. They look great on a layout, but are also perfect for tucking into the pockets of your planner...and they can be used and re-used if you want because you don't necessarily have to adhere them down. I really had fun and put a lot of thought and time into creating these ephemera pieces. My favorite pieces are the little cameo witch (she is so very cute and pretty!), the half painted pumpkins, the little pink ghost tag, the jack-o-lantern hearts, the two Halloween scripts, the boo lollipop, the kitty witch...and so many more! Really, I just love this ephemera pack...it is jam-packed with Halloween magic!

In addition to our classic choice of ephemera pack for this kit, we also wanted to make some new choices for embellies and so we decided to include some flair this time....yaaaaaay! I am so very excited for the flair! I have been wanting to do flair since we started The Fairytale Club, and we are finally doing it! So the flair pack comes with 6 flair buttons. There is a super cute "boo!", a sweet kitty witch, a happy jack-o-lantern, a fun ghost, a cool "xoxo" and my pretty little witch (this time with pink hair)! I can't wait to see what you all do with this fabulous flair!

For this kit, we decided to do shaped stickers again. We tried out a shaped stickers sheet for our last kit and we got a great response, so we thought we would do it again for "This is Halloween," and I am very excited! The sticker sheet is definitely one of my fave things in the collection! It is just way cute, with the ghost and the witch kitty and the silly skull and all the little bats and stars and things. And I especially love the cool square stickers that say things like "magic" and "halloween is my favorite thing" and "haunted" and "trick-or-treat"!

And for another new embellishment that we have never done before in our previous kits, we decided to add in some cool gold-foiled-on-vellum word stickers! Well, actually there are mostly words, but some awesome shapes too! I loooooove these! So cute! We have words like "beware" and "spooky" and "spell" and "boo" and also cool shapes like jack-o-lanterns, hearts and bats! These are going to look fabulous in your papercrafting projects!

Now that we have looked at our cool embellishments for the kit, let's take a look at the planner dividers in "This is Halloween"!  The planner dividers for this kit are a bit different than we have done with the last couple kits, as we have decided to return to the original way that we did the dividers set. So, just as it once was, we have decided to do pure decorative dividers for you in this kit, and forgo the calendar pages. So, let's take a look at our decorative planner dividers, shall we? They are super duper, uber cute and just filled with fun Halloween images and Halloween sayings!

I love the "Hocus Pocus" themed dividers in the kit! One of my favorite planner dividers is the one that says "Don't Be Afraid, it's just a bunch of Hocus Pocus" on it! I love the ombre in the back and all the cute little sparkles! Another one of my absolute favorite planner dividers is my super duper pretty and oh so cute little witch with the green hair that says "I put a spell on you" (like the song that the Sanderson Sisters sing in the movie)! She is so special and looks so beautiful against that pretty lavendar gingham background!

I am also loving the really retro looking dividers! I love my happy jack-o-lantern! How cute is she, with her wide eyes, big smile and those fab polka dots in the background! So vintage looking and so adorable! And the little black cat sitting on the jack-o-lantern is so very retro too and makes a great silhouette against a traditional orange background.

There are a couple of dividers that have that cool "Nightmare Before Christmas" kind of vibe, like the one that says "welcome to our town of halloween" (with the cute little face on it that looks like a certain pumpkin king), and also the ombre one that says "halloween is my favorite thing". These are two of my favorite pieces in the kit!

I love the modern, kitschy "pastel goth" looking dividers too, like the fun heart bat and my super sweet witch kitty! She is just so adorable! Both of them are way cute!

I am also excited about word/phrase dividers in the set, like the "beware" divider and the one that says "you look fab-boo-lous"! That one especially is so funny, with the spiderweb eyelashes and the silly pun!

And last but not least, I am in love with the magical dividers like the lovely black cat against the dimensional black and lavender stars, and especially the super duper cool "trick-or-treat" divider with the little trick-or-treating witch and her little kitty, having some Halloweeen fun! That one is really special!

Ok, now, lets talk about another special, and new addition to the collection/kit this time around....transparency!!!! Yes, for "This is Halloween", we decided to do a transparency! I am super duper excited about it! We have for you a cool jack-o-lantern heart transparency called "I heart Halloween", which is perfect for you to use for your TN inserts, for your scrapbook mini albums, for cardmaking, for a planner divider...really anything you can think of! It is way cute and brings some extra magic and fun to this super magical and fun collection! It is a new addition that I know you will love and that I hope we can do more of for future kits!

Alright, there is actually another surprise part of the collection that I cannot yet reveal, so stay tuned for that! It is a bit of a Halloween Surprise...so you will have to wait to find out! Otherwise, that is it for our "This is Halloween" full kit reveal! I am so thrilled for this collection/kit! I can't wait for you all to get it!
