Hey there, it’s Aimee with another layout using the “Hello Beautiful” kit.
This is my 5th layout using the “Hello Beautiful” kit (you will have to come back to see the rest!)
The colors of this kit have been absolutely perfect with the photos of my wedding, and my latest road trip.
Today’s layout “The Pirates House” is from when I visited Savannah Ga. a few weeks back. We didn’t actually eat here while in Savannah. But we did walk the streets one morning and had a chance at a couple great photo ops!
For this layout, I used a patterned piece from the kit and cut it down to 8.5x11. It’s not very often that I use a patterned pack ground for my foundation. This pink ledger is just subtle enough for my liking!
I got a little fancy with this layout, I used the Martha Stewart “fringe” scissors to create the fringe matting for my photo.
When I first saw that rainbow paper. I knew it was special, and I needed to do something fun with it! I think making the fringe matting was just perfect.
When I cut the actual mat of the photo I cut it a bit larger than my fringe, this way the lines of the paper don’t exactly match up, and there is another shade of pink on the mat.
I also layered some iridescent washi and some pompom ribbon on top of the fringe for a fun look.
I also made the paper clip flair, I just backed the flair with some paper and adhered it to the paper clip!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today! Have you documented any of your recent trips?
