Hello everyone and happy Saturday! Today I'm here with a page from one of my new projects inspired by Andrea of Retrohipmama: a ringbound traveler's notebook! I love these because you can add as much as you want in the way of thickness and not have to worry about it not closing anymore. Hooray!
Firstly, I cut two pieces of TN-sized pages out of Fairytales and painted it over with white gesso to lighten the background. With this layout, I wanted to try a bit of a loose grid format. It features a picture of the Tokyo Disneyland castle at night. I was lucky enough to get a great shot of it while waiting for the Electrical Parade Dreamlights. I printed it out on my HP Sprocket and laid that down first so I could use it to figure out the grid. Above that, I added the "you are beautiful." diecut because oh man, it was! Next up, I wanted to add some of the thicker items I'm able to do using the rings so I popped up the "true love" die cut and location label on foam tape.
Next up, I wanted to add a bit of roundness to it and what's more round than a Mickey head? It's just three circles! So, I used my Mickey punch to cut a shape out of one of the roses on the dividers, giving me a blue rose Mickey! To go opposite that, I added the Hello flair button to give it "Hello True Love" as a bit of a subtitle. I absolutely love the Tokyo parks so this seemed just right.
I found this cute little location die cut in my die cut box so I added that last to give a bit more to the layout.
Last but not least, some quick journaling and it's done! Would you ever try putting your TNs on rings? Let me know in the comments and until next time, happy crafting!
