Hi all, it’s Aimee and today I am sharing a layout about my new favorite boots!
So, I found these boots while I was junkin in Indiana with my husband Kevin.
I had told him “I am going to find a pair of red cowboy boots” and guess what I did.
I couldn’t wait to scrap the story about how I found them and how long I had been looking for them.
I just knew I wanted to use the paper with the red flowers {oops I cut the name off the bottom to use the strip and I didn’t write the name down} was going to be perfect {by the way, this paper totally reminds me of standing in line at the Matterhorn}
I actually used a cut file to do the stitching. I used my Silhouette Cameo to trace the letters onto my paper so I would have a pattern to stitch. I also cut the letters with the printed paper to fill the inside of my stitched letters.
I printed my story on some cardstock, and then cut it into strips, and adhered it with glue and staples.
I used the handwritten “fairytale” paper {again I cut the name off, sorry} as my matting for my 2.5 x 3.5 photos. I machine stitched the matting and photos with both red and white thread.
For the finishing touches, I rumbled some white thread and secured it with the apple flair, and a red puffy arrow sticker from my personal stash.
I hadn’t hand stitched on any of my layouts for quite some time {maybe 2 years} and I really enjoyed it.
I love adding different elements to my pages, for dimension. What are your favorite techniques?
xoxo Aimee
